“Between the conception and creation, between the emotion and response, falls the shadow” - The Hallow Men by T.S. Eliot This shadow that falls between conception and creation and emotion and response, is filled with inspiration. Inspiration to create, inspiration to bring an emotion to the viewer, to gain an answer. Inspiration that comes through the people that step into your life. Family, friends, colleges, even people on the street. The people who catch your attention and love. The places that you go to, the traveling that you do, and, of course, the colors of life, the color the world brings, and the color people, places, and thin=gs bring. The interesting things in life that inspire artwork. Through my art and photography, I try to convey the essence of what inspires me in my work, to portray an emotion and response through my photography and art. To, in turn, inspire other people with my artwork and photography, and, above all, to inspire people to believe that anything is possible. Majoring in fine art with a studio option from Chadron State College, having already obtained an Associates of Arts from Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff Ne, my hometown. Homeschooled all through high school I was able to focus on art by taking private lessons that allowed me to begin then teaching private lessons after high school. I have shown in West Nebraska Art Center in many shows, recently awarded “Best of Show” in Images 2013. Along with the West Nebraska Art Center, I have shown at the Pinnacle Bank in Mitchell, NE, Gering Art Festival, and Art in the Courtyard. I have a studio in Gering, NE where I spend time teaching, creating, and experimenting.
